Orangebox aim to produce Flash websites, Flash movies and Flash graphics that have some subtlety, or a lively action that even in a loop, doesn't become irritating. We try always to produce Flash that communicates effectively and provides an enjoyable experience for the visitor.

We recommend an html version of a website is produced as well as a Flash version to allow visitors a choice when browsing. We can make sure the html version will load in cases where the required Flash Plugin is not available or where Flash content has been 'switched off'.

It is worth remembering that where Flash content is not displayed (as is sometimes the case with high security settings), there is just a blank space - no links, no images.

Animated gifs do not rely on Flash plugins and can be always be seen whether Flash is on or off.

About Flash and Search Engine visibility

It is important to understand that html websites with text content are fully visible and searchable using Search Engines. Whereas a Flash site will have limited information available to Search engines (ie only what is added in the form of Meta Tags). An html website with just the right amount of Flash content will be visible to search engines and also visable to anyone with Flash 'disabled'.
